Route:

Route through green vineyards (Santa Margarida i els Monjos, Puigdàlber, Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs and Olèrdola)

This circular route explores the heart of the Penedès region, an area known for its rolling vineyards and peaceful roads. The starting point is Santa Margarida i els Monjos, from where the route follows paved rural tracks winding between vineyards and traditional farmhouses.

Route description:

Most of the route is on comfortable, quiet roads, ideal for enjoying the ride and the scenery at a leisurely pace.

It continues towards Puigdàlber and further on to Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs, a particularly pleasant stretch thanks to the tranquillity of the local road that connects this village with Sant Cugat Sesgarrigues. The surroundings are entirely rural, with perfectly aligned vineyards and small hills offering excellent panoramic views of the Penedès.

The route also passes through Olèrdola, where the climb becomes slightly steeper, but without any significant technical difficulties, as the route is suitable for recreational cyclists and bikes with mixed tires. The route ends by returning to Santa Margarida i Els Monjos, passing by the Penyafel hermitage.

Throughout the entire itinerary, the vineyards and the tranquillity of the paths are the common thread, making this ride an ideal experience for cyclists looking for an accessible, scenic, and perfectly rideable route.
