Festa Major of la Ràpita

The summer Festa Major of la Ràpita is celebrated every year around the first weekend of August in honour of Sant Domènec de Guzmán.

It is organized by the la Ràpita Cultural and Recreational Centre (CCRR), a centennial entity, with the collaboration of the Town Council and various associations and other entities of the town. Each year there are numerous folkloric and traditional activities, and also the popular folkloric elements and dances from both La Ràpita and els Monjos offer their ‘correfocs’ fire running, parades and dances. As a distinguishing feature, la Ràpita devils’ dance organizes La Fogardera, a festival of fire and light that takes place on the Sunday of the Festa Major.
